Erykah Badu just released a new mixtape titled ’But You Caint Use My Phone’, which has a Neptunes Cover specifically Usher’s 2001 hit ’U Don’t Have To Call’. The mixtape’s title is a reference to the singer’s 1997 classic “Tyrone”, while each of its tracks is about telephones in some way, specifically “our own reliance on staying inter-connected.”
According to a press release, for the tape, Badu worked closely with producer Zach Witnessin in her hometown of Dallas, Texas. Over a 12-day period, she welcomed a number of surprise guests, including André 3000 and Drake, into her bedroom studio to help create a new genre blend she has dubbed “TRap & B”. Badu and Witnessin focused on creating “sympathetic vibrations” between the music’s frequency and vibration, even utilizing a tuning fork and Tibetan singing bowls to find the precise wavelengths. The goal was to create “a sound that brings peace and tranquility to its listener.” Check out the tune below, and make sure to donwload Erykah Badu’s new mixtape Here.

Have yall seen the VMA’s on Sunday, well ‘Happy’ went empty handed but Ed Sheeran won with ‘Sing’ for ‘Best Male Video’. “Sing” is off Sheeran’s album X, and was his first single to reach number one in the UK. Beyond the album, it’s been a huge year for Sheeran, including a documentary about the singer’s (recent) life on MTV.
It was an all white affair when Usher touched the stage of the MTV VMAs tonight. Suited in all white, Usher hit the stage to give a hot performance of “She Came To Give It To You” with help by a band. He also previewed another Pharrell collaboration on the intro which sounds the tune Pharrell previewed back in January. Nicki Minaj joined the R&B crooner on the stage to deliver her verse and even let Ursher use her booty as a instrument.
Beyoncé Performs Medley With ‘Blow’ & ‘Superpower’ At The VMA’s 2014
Beyoncé shut down the stage of the Forum when she gave the crowd a Mrs. Carter World Tour experience and performed a medley of her songs “Mine”, “Haunted”, “No Angel”, “Jealous”, “Blow”, “Drunk In Love”, “Rocket”, “Partition”, “Superpower”, “Flawless”, “Blue”, “XO.” With Jay-Z and her daughter Blue Ivy watching from the crowd, Beyoncé gave one hell of a performance that will have many talking. After the performance JAY & Blue took the stage to present her with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
