Daniel Biltmore just posted a new remix of Missille Command remixing The Oh Hello’s on the tune ‘Hello My Old Heart’ and I gotta say that tune is freaking fantastic, this goes straight to my iPod! Check out the original tune on Oh Hello’s Official Site. The Oh Hello’s are Maggie and Tyler Heath, music-making siblings hailing from the great state of Texas. Their influences range from Mumford & Sons and The Civil Wars to Los Campesinos and The Pogues, bending and blending styles and genres into a unique mixture of eclectic folk rock.
Their debut EP draws inspiration from traditional Irish folk songs in both its sound and its message, from the foot-stomping rhythms of Lay Me Down and Trees to the quiet introspection of Cold Is the Night. The EP begins by confronting the difficulties of love and freedom and ends by embracing them. Find them on Facebook and listen to Tyler Heath’s solo album at tylerheath.net.

Just minutes ago, Wiz Khalifa posted a picture with Pharrell in the studio working on some new stuff on his Instagram, they have already been in the studio together back in Dec 5, 2010. “Me n P” “I’m working with Pharrell, but Pharrell is known for what he’s known for. But when he gets with me, I want it to be a unique sound where it’s like, ‘That’s that Pharrell and Wiz shit.” Juicy J is also in the studio according to his twitter post. “In da studio wit wiz & pharell trippy music at it’s best!” Thanks to DrAmAtIc.

Urban Noize are back with a mash-up of Jay-Z and Pharrell’s “Allure,” with sonstress Lana Del Rey. “The concept of this remix is built like Lana Del Rey is playing Jay-Z’s “Allure” while continually pleading him to come back to her. However, he, knowing the consequences, is reluctant to this at first but ultimately gives in.” Check it out below.

This is big news right here, according to Shakira’s Record Label la.eonline.com, Pharrell Williams is set to Executive Produce Britney Spears 8th Studio Album , further more, Pharrell has plans of getting Britney in the studio with Shakira and Lady Gaga which will be produced by Will.I.Am. “I have proposed to Jive Records (Britney’s record label) bring the studio to Shakira and Lady Gaga and I thought it was a fabulous idea. I want to make it happen, I want a duet explosive not sleep easy until seeing“ said Pharrell about the collaboration. Let’s hope this actually will happen…. this year.

After 16 years and five albums, Good Charlotte’s Benji and Joel Madden are pausing to record under the name The Madden Brothers. “There’s a honesty to the name that allows us to say things and do things and experiment with things,” Joel Madden tells Rolling Stone. The album, which Joel says will hopefully be out by this summer, is being executive produced by Pharrell. “The inception of the project was me and Joel and Pharrell in a room just talking music and music now, where it’s been, where we’ve all been,” Benji says. “And then we wrote one song together.” The seeds were planted even eariler than that, though, with the brothers’ recent mixtape, Before The Fame: The Madden Brothers, which features, among others, Wiz Khalifa, Kreyashawn and Machine Gun Kelly. “It’s been a cool break from the norm for us and the Madden Brothers record is quite different from the mixtape in a lot of ways, and similar in other ways,” Joel says. “It’s definitely left some influences on our style.”
But he clarifies: “It doesn’t mean we’re starting a career in hip-hop, by any means. We’ve always been fans and hung around in studios in the hip-hop world as guys who love it.” The Madden Brothers‘ record blends the pair’s rock influences with Pharrell’s sound. “Not only has he co-written a bunch of the songs, but there are also some jazz chords – that little Pharrell twist,” Benji says. “But because it’s a rock-based record it’s my belief that sonically we need to do a lot of the recording with guys that have been recording guitars and drums and what have you for their whole life.” So to find the right mix of styles they wanted, the pair went to Texas to record four songs with The Butthole Surfers‘ Paul Leary producing. “We like his work and he’s an awesome guy,” says Joel.
Good Charlotte fans may be in for a shock, though. “It is a completely different project – it sounds nothing like Good Charlotte other than that you’ll recognize our voices,” Benji says. “But there are a lot of acoustic guitars and we’re working with a whole different set of people. I’m definitely excited for people to hear [the new music]. It’s some of my favorite songs we’ve written so far.” Still, they assure us this is just a temporary break from Good Charlotte, one he hopes fans will be as psyched for as they are. “We love our fans, we love the things Good Charlotte has afforded us to do and continues to afford us to do,” Joel says. “So we don’t want to alienate anyone that likes our band – we want them to enjoy this in a different way.”

Adam Lambert is back with his eagerly anticipated sophomore album Trespassing and MTV.co.uk have been lucky enough to bag a first listen to an exclusive sampler. Following his debut release For Your Entertainment, Lambert is now gearing up to unleash his latest offering, looking to make his mark on the UK charts and follow the huge success that he’s already achieved Stateside. Lambert himself has previously described the album as:
“An exciting journey through the past two years of my life. It’s been a transformative period and I really wanted to make music from what I’ve experienced. All these songs honestly explore the ups and downs of my reality.” Stand out songs include LP title track Trespassing – a foot-stomping anthem produced by Pharrell Williams – whose presence can be felt throughout the tune. With its heavy bassline and thumping beats, it’s sure to be a hit – showing a more edgy R&B feel compared to his previous material. The album Trespassing is due 19th March.
