Shakira just released her single ‘Loca’ Produced by El Cata and Pitbull off her new album ‘Sale El Sol/The Sun Comes Out’, slated for release on October 19th according to her blog. The album will include her world-wide hit ‘Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)’, which recently topped the Swedish single tally and the new single ‘Loca’, an interpretation of the Dominican artist El Cata’s song ‘Loca Con Su Tiguere’. Shakira has also collaborated with the UK scene’s biggest grime artist Dizzee Rascal for the English version. This is a surefire way to return to the upper reaches on the UK singles chart. Shakira has not visited the top ten in the UK since the summer of 2009, where “She Wolf” reached No.4. The follow-up “Did It Again” (with Kid Cudi) only managed to climb to No.26, while the Lil’ Wayne duet “Give It Up To Me” failed to chart at all. “Gypsy” stalled at No.167 and “Waka Waka” peaked at No.21.
