Safe to say Pharrell Williams is a busy man. He’s been touring the world with Kanye, released a new album with his band NERD, made Madonna cry in the studio and he’s still got time to launch his new clothing label(s) Billionaire Boys Club/Ice Cream in London. MTV News joined a whole host of celebrities including Mischa Barton and Will Young for the launch party on the champagne fuelled Fifth Floor of Harvey Nichols in London.
Shortly before taking the stage, Pharrell told MTV News’ Rickie the inspiration behind the clothes: “It’s all about self-expression and individuality. All of the seasons are a reflection of my experiences and my inspirations. They’re literally like a 3 month journal”. When we asked him if there was anyone he thought was ‘hot’, he gave hope to the millions of female fans out there: “I like everyday girls, because what they wear is a true reflection of how they feel. That’s what fashion is all about.”
