Charlie and band Hope, who shot to fame in last year’s X Factor, are due to release their singles Hot and This Is It later this year. But the Wearside mum and her group have already started on another track with hip-hop singer-songwriter and producer Pharrell Williams.

Charlie, 23, from Hill View, Sunderland, said: “We’ve just recorded a track with him so it’s going really really well. “He’s really big and worked with people like Justin Timberlake and Madonna, so it’s all really exciting.” Charlie and her fellow bandmates Leah Launder, Raquelle Gracie, Phoebe Brown and Emily Biggs, have been busy supporting Boyzone in their comeback tour over the past few months, and have two dates left with them.
