Katy Perry and Fergie made it ladies night at the MTV Video Music Awards Japan on Saturday night by scooping the biggest honours. Perry scooped Best Pop Video for I Kissed A Girl and delighted the crowd at the Saitama Super Arena by donning a sushi-themed one-piece bathing suit and kimono for a sizzling performance of Hot N’ Cold. Nelly and Fergie walked away with the Best Collaboration Video honour for Party People. Best Hip Hop Video went to Teriyaki Boyz for Zock On!, which features Pharrell Williams & Busta Rhymes, while Japanese act Exile’s Ti Amo (Chapter 2) landed the group a double win for Video of the Year and Best Group Video. Black Eyed Peas, Ciara and rockers Green Day also performed at the annual music awards ceremony.
