Pharrell Williams attends Kiehl’s 160th Anniversary celebration at Kiehl’s Flagship Store in New York City Continuing on his green journey, Pharrell Williams has partnered with Kiehl’s, and designed new lab coats to be worn in stores as well as a Limited Edition Eco-Tote made of Bionic Yarn, a fabric made by his company Returns Textiles of recycled plastic bottles.
To celebrate its 160th birthday, Kiehl’s has tapped three new famous faces to represent its new global philanthropic initiative, Kiehl’s Gives. Julianne Moore, Pharrell Williams and The Scissor Sisters will each represent an area of concern; children’s well-being, the environment and HIV/AIDS respectively. Each category will represent eight charitable organizations that will be introduced to the public through a short film on Kiehl’s‘. Then, from June 15 to August 31, the public will be allowed to vote on their favorite charity. In September, Kiehl’s will split $160,000 among the charities based on their share of the votes. Each cause will get at least $20,000.
