“Finito” is expected to make N.O.R.E.’s next solo project, as he and Pharrell formally reunite, and the emcee says that he and Capone are focusing on solo endeavors right now, but don’t count them out. Last week, Queens, New York emcee N.O.R.E. (a/k/a Noreaga) released “Finito“, a song from his forthcoming seventh album, reportedly titled, N.O.R.E. 2: Super Thug. In a new interview with Hartford, Connecticut’s 93.7 WZMX FM and host Jenny Boom Boom and DJ Craig G, N.O.R.E. spoke about his intentions with the song.
“It’s a tight-jean song, you know what I mean?,” joked the veteran rapper. Of a reported five-to-six songs recorded with ’90s collaborator Pharrell Williams, N.O.R.E. said “That was my top pick.” He continued that he knew he wanted to work with Lil’ Wayne, but wanted the Cash Money Records superstar on a single. That single leaked prematurely, but N.O.R.E. said the ink is drying on making the song official. As for his music now, N.O.R.E. said, “I want to mess with this new generation.” There is no word on when N.O.R.E. 2: Super Thug will release. The full interview is below:
