Billionaire Boys Club, the street-wear luxury brand that has gained a some-what cult following, had hundreds of giddy young people lined up in front of its doors last night. The cause of the commotion? Though the T-shirts that Bathing Ape and BBC collaborated on did garner a lot of attention, it was the hope of meeting style maven, Pharrell Williams that provoked most of them to stand shoulder to shoulder in last night’s humidity. Pharrell, the driving force behind BBC, has made Fashion’s Night Out a priority since its inception, partly because he still feels like that kid “wishing he could make a t-shirt purple instead of black.” But he supports the pandemonium filled night mostly because of his friendship with FNO co-creator, Anna Wintour. “With someone like Anna Wintour, I have to lend my support back to her effort to do something for us. This is for us. We benefit from this more than anything else.”
