As New York Fashion Week 2011 came to a close, Hauteliving.com had the special opportunity to chat with one of the fashion industry’s most iconic individuals, Pharrell Williams. Although he is probably best known for his work in the music industry, Pharrell has crossed over to other creative areas including fashion, contemporary art, and interior design.
The sky is the limit for Pharrell, as he has achieved success with virtually every one of his endeavors. When the all-around-artist decided to break into interior design, he stopped at nothing and created a collection of exceptional chairs by joining forces with Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin in Paris.
His unparalleled eye and flare for all things creative have cemented his credibility and value in the world of art. Pharrell’s pivotal contribution to fashion includes the sensation of his clothing brands Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream, as well as his sunglass and jewelry collection for Louis Vuitton, entitled Blason. In 2005, Esquire magazine named Mr. Williams the best-dressed man in the world. Over the course of our conversation, he shared his thoughts and experiences during New York Fashion Week, as well as insight into the designers and brands he most admires. What a way to close out a week filled with foreword thinking and creativity!
