The Aussie is working with several producers and songwriters on her first album Kylie Minogue may shock fans with her new material after revealing that her new album, which she is working on with Pharrell Williams, will boast a “different sound” describing herself as a “natural chameleon.” Jay-Z stunned the music world last year when he signed the 44-year-old pop star to his predominantly urban record label, Roc Nation, but it seems Kylie may fit in well after all as the singer has hinted about her new album which will sound edgier than her previous material, courtesy of Pharrell who is working his producer magic on the tracks.
“It’s bringing out something different in me, which is cool,” Kylie told Rolling Stone magazine. “I need to know what it is to do something different – different style of delivery, different beats, different subject matter. I think that I am a natural chameleon, so that floats my boat. “I will maintain the DNA of what a Kylie track is, just because I’m on it. I like to try move the goalpost and experiment with different sounds. I can’t tell you exactly what it is. I couldn’t really describe it yet. But I can tell you I’m having a lot of fun in the process.”
