By Rachel Murphy. It’s all about the silhouette for Pharrell and Mark McNairy’s latest venture, BBC Black. While shopping for a new camo print for their BBC Bee Line at Crye Precision – the military outfitter which designs uniforms for the F.B.I and secret service –, Mark spotted a swathe of dense black fabric and so the cogs began to turn for the new line. Given the origins of the material, it’s not surprising that the pair presided over a military inspired collection. S.W.A.T.-like pants, military boots and heavy parka coats mixed in with staples like baseball jerseys and a long-line dress shirt for a contoured collection, despite the all black everything aesthetic. Watch Pharrell and McNasty take GQ through the line in the video above. The new BBC Black collection will launch this fall. Photos: LEE CLOWER PHOTOGRAPHY.
