By Trent Fitzgerald. R&B superstars Robin Thicke, Janelle Monae and John Legend garnered four nominations each in the various music categories for the 2014 NAACP Image Awards. The annual event honors diversity and excellence in the categories of television, film and literature. Thicke’s nods include Outstanding Male Artist as well as Outstanding Song for ‘Blurred Lines,’ his big 2013 hit with T.I. and Pharrell Williams. Meanwhile, Monae’s nods include Outstanding Female Artist and Outstanding Album for ‘The Electric Lady.’

Other nominated artists include Bruno Mars, Alicia Keys and Justin Timberlake with three nods apiece. And fellow R&B stars Beyonce, Charlie Wilson and India.Arie each garnered two mentions. TV One will broadcast the 45th annual NAACP Image Awards live from Los Angeles on Feb. 22 at 9PM ET. The telecast will also feature a pre-show live from the red carpet at 8PM ET.
