Sawyer Fredericks & Pharrell
Sawyer Fredericks was crowned the winner of The Voice on Tuesday and left his coach Pharrell Williams beaming with pride. The 16-year-old folk-soul singer from rural upstate New York might be seen as an alternative choice for a TV talent show but impressed the judges from the start with his talent and humble attitude.
‘I’m so incredibly proud,’ said his 42-year-old mentor Pharrell who used to front the N*E*R*D band. Nashville girl Meghan Linsey from Team Blake was second, followed by the older family man Joshua Davis from Team Adam. Pharrell’s other young protégée Koryn Hawthorne, 17, was fourth.
