Pharrell Williams & Pedro Winter
The French TV show Clique TV recently interviewed Pedro Winter from Ed Banger, who also had been Daft Punk’s manager. He spoke about his first meeting with Pharrell, in 2001. Pedro came to his studio in NYC to play him Daft Punk’s “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger”. Britney Spears’ “I’m A Slave 4 U” was in the making when he arrived. Timbaland, who was just in the next studio, joined them for the listening session. They were both amazed. It was the first time Pharrell heard about the robots…and you know the rest of the story. After the session, he accepted to come to Paris with Chad to work on the remix of the song that we know now.
