A Message From Kenna: Give Up Your Birthday, Give The Gift Of Life

Dear Friend

As you know, Summit On The Summit and I believe that access to clean water sits at the center of preventing and solving many of the issues affecting humanity today, such as life threatening disease, poverty, and hunger. We also know there are many ways to provide water, and that water wells are a very prominent solution in Africa, home to Mount Kilimanjaro and the many friends we made on our mission to raise awareness for the cause.

Join us in supporting the work of organizations like charity: water, whose September birthday campaign rallies all those born in September to ask for donations instead of gifts so we can in turn give the gift of life.

Charity: water was born in September of 2007 with a simple and ambitious idea – everyone on the planet should have clean water to drink. Since then, the organization has helped more than one million people in 17 countries.

To celebrate their anniversary each year, charity:water asks September babies to “give up” their birthdays and ask their friends and family for donations instead of gifts. 100 percent of the donations goes directly to building clean water projects – a vital element as we all work together to raise awareness of the eight Millennium Development goals.

Each year, charity: water has been able to set a more ambitious goal as thousands of people come together to make an even bigger dent in the water crisis.

This September, they are thinking bigger than ever. With your help, charity: water hopes to raise $1.7 million to fund 210 water points and to bring clean and safe drinking water to 100 percent of the Bayaka people living in Central African Republic.

Watch their video (above) to learn even more about their plans, and then make a donation today to charity: water to give the gift of life.

There are several ways to help:
Donate. Start a campaign. Give up your birthday.
A simple action could change the world and give the gift of life.
