Pharrell Williams‘ new Adidas Originals campaign, “Now Is Her Time,” is all about female empowerment through the power of representation and bold choices. Shot by Collier Schorr — who consistently explores themes of gender, sexuality, and identity — the campaign features powerful women and those who support them.
Ranging from artists to activists, “Now Is Her Time” stars singer-songwriter Syd; community organizer and co-founder of Black Lives Matter, Patrisse Cullors; nonprofit leader and founder of period.org, Nadya Okamoto; writer, director, and broadcaster Reggie Yates; architectural technologist Iddris Sandu; surfer Keala Naihe; filmmaker and human rights activist Sana Azim; mother, artist, and founder of Art Mom project, Tyra Mitchell; model and co-founder of Style Saves, Isabela Rangel Grutman; models Sara Cummings and Kadija Diawara; and dancers Sheena Cain and Sophia Parker.
Pharrell and Adidas’ coinciding “Now Is Her Time” collection is made up of unisex apparel and footwear for adults, juniors, kids, and infants. Promoting women’s rights, the collection showcases a depth of color on popular sneakers such as the Solar HU, NMD, BYW, and the Adilette, a new addition to the HU collection. You can look forward to the adidas Originals by Pharrell Williams “Now Is Her Time” capsule launching August 31 at adidas stores, Foot Locker, select retailers, and online.
Following on from two previous collections, Pharrell Williams has teamed up with Adidas Originals once more on another SOLARHU capsule. Like before, the artist has drawn inspiration from East Africa and has incorporated traditional, vibrant weaving patterns in this selection of apparel and footwear. There’s a selection of clothing, including bold track jackets, colorful sweatshirts and track pants which boast oversized graphics on the chest and patterned details throughout, as well as the words “Empower” and “Inspire” that appear upon select pieces.
Alongside this, there are four new colorways of the Hu NMD available, including “Power Blue” which has a royal upper and pink heel cage and “Clear Blue,” which has a light blue upper and contrasting yellow laces. For those who prefer classic color options , there are also black and white iterations available and each sneaker is completed with bright, printed collars, a cozy Primeknit upper and the Chinese symbols for “Empower” and “Inspire” embroidered upon the top. You can shop the full Pharrell x adidas Originals SOLARHU capsule from adidas’ web store on November 10.
Adidas Originals and Pharrell present the Hu Holiday Collection, continuing the celebration of humanity and diversity across the globe. The Hu Holiday Pack features a range of women’s and men’s apparel in contemporary silhouettes with wardrobe staples such as tees, track pants, and track tops.
Taking inspiration from the interplay of organic and mathematical forms seen throughout nature, the simple color palette is balanced with crisp geometric graphic details such as the triangle pattern and all-over prints in Japanese katakana. The Hu Holiday Collection is founded on Pharrell’s vision of connection through love, passion, energy, and color. The Hu Holiday Collection is available now at 7 Mercer and online.
Adidas Originals has teamed up with Pharrell Williams and his Billionaire Boys Club label once again to drape the iconic Stan Smith in a luscious palm tree print, alongside a matching line of apparel. The “Palm Tree” pack combines the signature playfulness of Billionaire Boys Club with the personality of Pharrell, and includes a Stan Smith in two different colorways, a track top, a T-shirt, a tank, and a pair of shorts. All of which are decked out in the summer-ready, full-color tropical prints.
Nostalgic of early ICE CREAM shoes, the reimagined Stan Smiths are available in vivid green and orange-red, emblazoned on soft Nappa leather. Each style comes complete with iconic Billionaire Boys Club branding, including an Astronaut on the tongue and a “B” logo on the heel tab. The track jacket comes in green french terry cotton with white palm trees and a contrasting flocked black “B” logo. The slightly subtler cotton jersey, meanwhile, incorporates the palm on the three-stripe motif and front pocket.
An allover green print covers the white tank with another astronaut logo on the front and center. Finally, the shorts offer up an all-over white-on-green print with flocked “B” logos and an embroidered trefoil motif. The adidas Originals x Pharrell Williams x Billionaire Boys Club “Palm Tree” pack is available on June 25, at adidas and Billionaire Boys Club flagship Stores, online and select retailers. If you missed the news last month, Chanel also announced a fashion collaboration with Pharrell.
