The Relationship With Sony Columbia !
“…The Relationship With Sony thus war has been good, we’re still skeptical of labels, thats only because we’re real passionate about what we do, we’ve had a lot of hard ships and we’re not complaining because we worked to a mall so it is what it is, thus far Sony Columbia has show interrests, we feel pretty good about it. It feels good to know that Rick Rubin is the headman overthere, because he himself is an artist, he understands the struggle of an artist that what all the talk about overhere at Sony Columbia is that they’ve become more artist-friendly label so everything that The Clipse been through in history… everything we’ve done, it feels like this is the place were we get the best chance…”
Leaving Startrak !
“…No hardfeelins about anything, the things that we’ve accomplished is great- put as where we are to this date, the relationship is still strong, still good everyone is still friends, it just about milestones and just growing and noone is against us…”

It’s one big movement – we definetly gonna bring you lyric-driven hip-hop…”
On the heel of collaborative eyewear collection, Pharrell Williams teamed up with luxury powerhouse Louis Vuitton for another one-of-the-kind jewelery collection. Worked closely with designer Camile Miceli, Williams took inspirations from Medieval coat of arms, secret society, and etc… created Blason Line of fine accessories for men and women. After the collection’s debut in January, International Herald Tribune’s Jessica Michault sat down with both to talk about the line.

Tha Dogg Pound, also known as D.P.G. (Dogg Pound Gangstaz), is a rap group made up of Kurupt and Daz Dillinger did a track sampling Pharrell’s verse of Snoop Dogg’s „Drop It Like It’s Hot“ “Cheat On Your Man Ma, That’s How You Get Ahizzead”
“…I probably wouldn’t even have bothered with this N¤E¤R¤D concert Sunday Night, if I would’ve known it would get in the way of my precious TV viewing, not to mention my physiological need to get 10 hours of sleep a day, plus another 8 hours at night. I had copped my tickets a week or so earlier, under the impression that I’d be able to watch the series finale of The Wire, which was also taking place Sunday night, a week early on demand, like I always do. But of course HBO had to pull that shit where they announced at the last minute that the finale wouldn’t be on demand until the Monday after it aired, i.e. yesterday…”

In an age of Multitasking hyphenates, Pharrell Williams takes it to a new level – producer/singer (his funk-rock band, N¤E¤R¤D, has a CD due in spring) and fashion magnate (he co-designs Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream). Oh, and there’s a jewelry line he has designed for Louis Vuitton that arrives in stores this season. Stylewise, the 34-year-old whiz is equally versatile – debonair in a Ralph Lauren suit, skater-coll in Japanese anime-inspired T-shirt, and as gilded as King Midas (his iPod is encased in gold). „Not Midas,“ he demurs. “I prefer Richie Rich!“
For the latest batch of songs, she has teamed up with Justin Timberlake, Timbaland and Pharrell Williams, who was the most impressed with Madonna’s incredible work-rate. “That work ethic still exists,” she said. “I don’t think it was a surprise to Justin and Timbaland but Pharrell just kept referring to me as a work horse. He complained a little bit about my relentless inability to sit still for very long, but he got over it eventually.”Hard Candy” is “one of the best albums in years, Madonna “worked me to death,” Williams says. “But you know what? I’m glad I was pushed, because it’s some of my best work.”
Pharrell told cleveland.com that the new album is titled Seeing Sounds and not N¤3¤R¤D. With it’s unusual hook — a shout-out to “all the girls standing in line for the bathroom” — you can’t miss “Everybody Nose,” the slamming new single by N¤E¤R¤D. “We like to color the airwaves with something a little different,” vocalist Pharrell Williams said during a phone interview last week from New York City, where he was in the middle of a media blitz. “Too often, you hear songs about the same things, over and over again,” he said.
So we’ve all heard the hype over Miss Simpson’s third studio album. Originally rumored to be titled “Color Outside The Lines” the new title, “Bittersweet World,” reportedly came from something her boyfriend Pete Wentz yelled during sex. While the public has already heard a sampling of tracks (“Murder,” the first single “Outta My Head (Ay Ya Ya)” and the next single “Little Miss Obsessive“), they have yet to experience the true power of this album. Perhaps it’s a bit weird for Miss Simpson to have partnered with so many different artists on BW, but they all lend themselves well. Ashlee collaborated with some major players on this album including Timbaland, The Neptunes’ Chad Hugo, and Kenna.
Today, after many phone calls and playing phone tag with a half a dozen people, I was granted the opportunity to interview Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, otherwise known as production duo The Neptunes. If you aren’t familar with them, they have produced records for a lot of popular artists today, such as Jay-Z, Britney Spears, The Hives, Gwen Stefani, Kelis, Slim Thug, Snoop Dogg, etc. Pharrell typically sings on hooks and has had a pretty steady feature and solo career.
About half of Ego Trippin’ was produced by “QDT Muzic,” a team made up of Snoop, Teddy Riley, who was the Pharrell Williams of the late Eighties and early Nineties, and DJ Quik, who would have been the Dr. Dre of the same period, except that Dre already had the job. Along with Terrace Martin, who adds live instruments, they take vintage Eighties sounds — old-school synths, vocoders — and purée them into a hip-hop mix as dense as anything the Bomb Squad ever did. The press from all over the world is having an advance taste of Madonna’s “Hard Candy” these days and they have been filled with information, teasers and exclusive previews over the past few months. So here’s what the Tribers are already familiar with, along with some more info. On the basis of the five tracks we heard, it sounds exactly like you’d expect a collaboration between Madonna and such super-producers as Timbaland and The Neptunes to sound: a slick, ultra-modern urban dance concoction. As has become customary for a Madonna album, it will be launched with a terrific lead-off single in the shape of 4 Minutes. “…His tracks for Hard Candy are crazy, I couldn’t fuck around, I had to come with it…” Williams says with a laugh. It’s a 8:5 split album with The Neptunes getting 8 and Timbaland & Co. getting 5 tracks.

The seven or so tracks Pharrell played vacillated between heavily percussive, rattling drum ‘n’ bass freakouts (“Spazz,” in particular is something fierce) and melody-driven heartbreakers. He copped to the emotional split on the album, mixing one part guitar-driven body rock with one part soft, synth-driven emo&B (think the group’s “Run To the Sun” from In Search Of…)
It sounds closer to that debut than the somewhat maligned Fly Or Die, an interesting experiment with modern rock and lounge-appropriate crooning that unfortunately featured a Good Charlotte collaboration. But the sound is even more aggressive than their well-received debut, and Pharrell emphasized a hunger for “German festival crowds, like 90,000 white boys thrashing.
Fans of Hip-Hop inspired fashions may get a glimpse at the Clipse’s new label Play Cloths as early as this summer. The line, which was originally scheduled to preview at the February edition of the Magic Marketplace Fashion and Apparel Trade Show in Las Vegas, will now make it’s debut at the Show in late August. “…Right now it’s in the development stages, We just left Magic in Vegas, I think we’ll be showing at Magic in August…”
