XXL’s N¤E¤R¤D Promo Tour Review !

ten-people-9.jpg“…I probably wouldn’t even have bothered with this N¤E¤R¤D concert Sunday Night, if I would’ve known it would get in the way of my precious TV viewing, not to mention my physiological need to get 10 hours of sleep a day, plus another 8 hours at night. I had copped my tickets a week or so earlier, under the impression that I’d be able to watch the series finale of The Wire, which was also taking place Sunday night, a week early on demand, like I always do. But of course HBO had to pull that shit where they announced at the last minute that the finale wouldn’t be on demand until the Monday after it aired, i.e. yesterday…”

Oh, and there’s a jewelry line he has designed for Louis Vuitton that arrives in stores this season. Stylewise, the 34-year-old whiz is equally versatile – debonair in a Ralph Lauren suit, skater-coll in Japanese anime-inspired T-shirt, and as gilded as King Midas (his iPod is encased in gold). „Not Midas,“ he demurs. “I prefer Richie Rich!“

Pharrell: Madonna Worked Me To Death !

mdn.jpgFor the latest batch of songs, she has teamed up with Justin Timberlake, Timbaland and Pharrell Williams, who was the most impressed with Madonna’s incredible work-rate. “That work ethic still exists,” she said. “I don’t think it was a surprise to Justin and Timbaland but Pharrell just kept referring to me as a work horse. He complained a little bit about my relentless inability to sit still for very long, but he got over it eventually.”Hard Candy” is “one of the best albums in years, Madonna “worked me to death,” Williams says. “But you know what? I’m glad I was pushed, because it’s some of my best work.”

N¤E¤R¤D Changing Album Title To “Seeing Sounds” !

paris-france-5.jpgPharrell told cleveland.com that the new album is titled Seeing Sounds and not N¤3¤R¤D. With it’s unusual hook — a shout-out to “all the girls standing in line for the bathroom” — you can’t miss “Everybody Nose,” the slamming new single by N¤E¤R¤D. “We like to color the airwaves with something a little different,” vocalist Pharrell Williams said during a phone interview last week from New York City, where he was in the middle of a media blitz. “Too often, you hear songs about the same things, over and over again,” he said.

Ashlee Simpson’s “Bittersweet World” Review !

as.jpgSo we’ve all heard the hype over Miss Simpson’s third studio album.  Originally rumored to be titled “Color Outside The Lines” the new title, “Bittersweet World,” reportedly came from something her boyfriend Pete Wentz yelled during sex.  While the public has already heard a sampling of tracks (“Murder,” the first single “Outta My Head (Ay Ya Ya)” and the next single “Little Miss Obsessive“), they have yet to experience the true power of this album. Perhaps it’s a bit weird for Miss Simpson to have partnered with so many different artists on BW, but they all lend themselves well. Ashlee collaborated with some major players on this album including Timbaland, The Neptunes’ Chad Hugo, and Kenna.
