Having worked with a slew of influential artists like Pharrell and Grizzly Bear’s Chris Taylor on previous recordings, Solange is committing to a collaborative atmosphere and has shared details on who she’ll work with on her fourth album, which is due for a 2014 release. Think Dirty Projectors’ Dave Longstreth, Patrick Wimberly from Chairlift, members of SBTRKT and Drake collaborator Sampha.

There’s no word yet on who will produce the album (though she’s worked with a fair share of big-name producers in the past—Mark Ronson, Cee-Lo Green and Jermaine Dupri) but we do know that the album is being recorded between New York and New Orleans and will be released through her own record label, Saints Records.

In more eyebrow-raising Solange news, rumor has it that the singer is in talks to play late R&B artist Aaliyah in an upcoming biopic. Jet Magazine reported on the rumor earlier this week, sending her fans into a flurry of speculations on whether Solange is “really that somebody” to play the beloved singer, who died in a plane crash in 2001. Solange voiced Penny Proud in Disney’s The Proud Family and has played small roles in shows like Johnson Family Vacation and Lincoln Heights.
