Finally, my favourite, N¤E¤R¤D took the stage with a live band, two sets of drums, Chad Hugo on the keyboard, and Shay and Pharrell Williams doing vocals. This is it, this is what I was waiting for, and it was exactly what I expected. There was so much energy, dancing, yelling, screaming, and everything that Pharrell did, the crowd did. At one point, he asked all the people in the lawn section to jump with their umbrellas, and they all did. Amazed at the Canadian love for the group, they were asked to do it again so they could get in tape. Now that’s love!
While performing the song “Spaz”, there was a “surprise guest” Chris Brown, which to me was not much of surprise being that he is dating “good friends” with R&B singer Rihanna who also was on the show. During the song “Everyone Nose“, Pharrell brought a fan from the audience on stage. Man, how jealous was I! Later, to witness even more girl fans were being brought on stage during the song “She Wants To Move”, and Pharrell asking the girls to show how Canadian girls really get down. At the end of their set, Pharrell stuck around and shook hands with fans that were within reach of the stage, he is truly a great performer and seems to be very humble.
