Young Money rapper becomes a ladies’ man on new track from next year’s Careless World. Tyga is tapping into his inner ladies’ man on his new track, “First Time,” which leaked online Thursday (October 7) and features The Neptunes’ Pharrell Williams on the chorus. “First time I laid eyes, I looked around, heaven’s angels from the sky,” he raps over the melodic number. “It must be a message from god, ’cause you the only thing on my mind.” The song is the second offering from the Lil’ Wayne protégé’s forthcoming debut, Careless World, tentatively due next year. Last month, the Young Money rapper’s “I’m on It,” featuring fellow Los Angeles natives Snoop Dogg and the Game, arrived. Williams also produced that number, and Tyga said he was excited to work with The Neptunes producers.
“Pharrell is real cool; he didn’t even ask me to play the album,” Tyga told MTV News about their collaborations. “We just had a conversation about music and fashion, and he made the beats right there.” Currently, Tyga is on the road with Drake on the Toronto star’s Light Dreams & Nightmares Tour. And though he’s working on more material, he’s in no rush to deliver his debut just yet. Instead, he’s patiently waiting until after the big releases by Young Money family members Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne. “I’m thinking, I don’t wanna set no date on it,” Tyga said. “I wanna let Nicki [Minaj] do her thing right now. Her album comes out November 23. Christmas is cool for me, January, February. I got songs; all my records and my singles, everything is timed up.”
