Asher Roth just wants to have fun and “make music just to make music” on his sophomore album The Spaghetti Tree, due early next year. He shares some of the producers who are supporting his cause including Swizz Beatz, Ryan Leslie, Organized Noize, and The Neptunes, while Game and Kardinal Offishall are among the collaborators on the follow-up to his 2009 debut. “He’s the man. He really is a genius,” Asher tells Rap-Up TV of Pharrell. “I haven’t been around many people who can harness energy and harness ideas and turn it into musical language like he can.” The “G.R.I.N.D.” rapper reveals one record in particular he did with the N*E*R*D frontman called “Cheat So Bad” in light of the recent Brett Favre scandal. “That record is super fun and kinda hoedown-ish.”
