Game has no shortage of star power on his R.E.D. Album (Aug. 23). His long list of collaborators includes Lil’ Wayne, Pharrell, Lupe Fiasco, Wiz Khalifa, Drake, Dr. Dre (“Dead People”), and Tyler, the Creator (“Martians vs. Goblins”). For his second single, the Lex Luger-produced “Bottles and Rockin’ J’s,” he’s recruited hip-hop heavyweights Busta Rhymes, Lil’ Wayne, Fabolous, and Rick Ross.
In addition, The Neptunes produced a reflective record with Nelly Furtado called “Mother Knows.” “It’s just a walk through a time period in my life when I was young and my mom was trying to instill all these values in me and I was just a rebel and going against everything she said,” he tells Rap-Up TV. “Nelly Furtado comes singing on the hook sort of like Janet Jackson-ish.”
