Last week New Zealand’s band Six60 have been in the studio to work with Pharrell. Bassist Chris Mac confirmed the band was working with Williams in an interview with ZM’s Fletch, Megan and Vaughan this morning. He said Williams, and award-winning American producer and singer, was a “big fan” of the band. “He’s the coolest cat. He seems more excited than we are, like he keeps on saying;
‘Thank you, thank you for this opportunity,’ and we’re like no no no, it’s the other way round,” he said. Mac confirmed they had been working on new material, and that William’s could feature on the band’s upcoming album. “At this very second we are working with completely fresh stuff with him. There are talks to get him involved on a couple of tracks from the album,” he said.
