Quentin Dupiuex’s ‘Where’s The Money George?’ Cameo By Pharrell

Quentin Dupiuex
Remember that short weird clip with Eric Flat and Pharrell as a Police Officer back in September 2009, well that was a short clip of Quentin Dupiuex’s latest short film called ‘Where’s The Money George?’. The video is recorded by Quentin Dupiuex and shot in June 27th 2009. Mr. Oizo (pronounced Monsieur Wah-zoh, deformation of the French word “oiseau”, bird) is the pseudonym of French music producer and film producer Quentin Dupieux, he is most famous for his electro track “Flat Beat“, which became a hit all across Europe in 1999 for being featured in a series of Levi’s jeans TV advertisements, thanks to FlowHightide.

Busta Rhymes Working With The Neptunes On 9th Album “The Chemo”

Busta Rhymes & Robin Thicke
Busta Rhymes is keeping a tight lid on his next album, but Robin Thicke couldn’t keep quiet about his contribution to the project. Bussa Bus has been in the lab recording The Chemo, the follow-up to last year’s Back on My B.S., due this summer. One collaboration fans can count on is with R&B heartthrob Robin Thicke. “I did a record with Busta for his new album,” Thicke reveals to Rap-Up.com. “We went in the studio and Busta and I worked together.” The “Sex Therapy” singer always has a good time with the animated rapper.

“Busta’s always been one of my favorites and he’s also one of the funniest guys you’ll ever meet. He’s the coolest.” Thicke didn’t share more about the track for fear of getting busted by Busta. “Busta is very top secret—NASA, CIA, don’t tell nobody nothing, don’t play nobody nothing, so I probably shouldn’t have even said that. He’s probably sending somebody here right now to beat me up,” he jokes.

Robin Thicke’s Five Tips To A Surefire Seduction

Robin ThickeRobin Thicke knows how to seduce a lady friend. not that he would — he’s married now — but still, he knows. That wispy falsetto. Those laser-blue eyes. All those steamy singles. It’s no secret: R&B singer Robin Thicke knows his way around a bedpost. Thicke, 33, doesn’t hide his motives – his latest album isn’t called “Sex Therapy” for nothing. His lyrics set the mood and leave little to the imagination. “I’ll lick you down / I’ll make you feel like you’re out of body / The doctor’s here for you,” he coos on the album’s title track. Tonight, Thicke will be at 1st Mariner Arena, opening for R&B sensation Alicia Keys. The crowd will scream and swoon. Undergarments might be thrown. Thicke is married now, but over the years, he’s picked up a few tips for seduction. Here’s his list:

1. Don’t mention your exes – any of them.
2. Lingerie is for women only, and they love it.
3. Alcohol, preferably champagne. Tequila will get you both too drunk.
4. Put on D’Angelo.
5. Don’t move too fast. Take it nice and slow.

Allmusic.com Says ‘House Shoes’ Is Produced By The Neptunes

Snoop Dogg – House Shoes

2 months ago, you could’ve checked Wikipedia out for the ‘More Malice’ tracklist and you coulda see The Neptunes on the ‘House Shoes’ tune credited, but I was sure that The Neptunes don’t have a tune on Snoop’s ‘More Malice’ album because I’ve never red or heard something about another Neptunes Track besides Special feat. Brandy to be featured on Snoop’s album, anyways after the album leaked I was pretty sure now that It ain’t a Neptunes Production, but still after that,  people kept talking how dope that ‘Neptunes Track’ ‘House Shoes’ is which isn’t produced by The Neptunes. I received this morning an Email from Allmusic.com with a ‘More Malice’ review and this is what it said:

“Adding Bun B to the “G-Mix” of “Pronto” gives the Soulja Boy collaboration some proper muscle, and as far as the new cuts, the off-kilter “House Shoes” satisfies with its Neptunes production, while the Kid Cudi collaboration “That Tree” is cosmic enough to make the Silver Surfer’s playlist.” Laughing my fucking ass off.. even Allmusic.com says it’s a Neptunes production but when you click on the credits, you’ll get this names here “Composed By C. Broadus/C. Gholson”. Someone should cop that shyt and check out the booklet asap, oh and yeah I still think its not produced by The Neptunes, Snoop is even mentioning The Runners at Mark 01:47 (Check Video), check it out.

Uffie – ADD SUV feat. Pharrell (Live) (Better Quality)

Uffie
Here is a better version of Uffie’s ‘ADD SUV’ feat. Pharrell from mark 06:20.

Uffie At Cinespace In Hollywood (March 16th)

Updated: March 20th
Florida native and hot chick UFFIE (aka Anna-Catherine Hartley) debuts her brand new collaboration with Pharrell called “ADD SUV” from her anticipated debut album “Sex Dreams & Denim Jeans” (soon to be released on Ed Banger Records). Fans have literally been waiting for years… go grab back that kiddie porn swagger that Ke$ha copped baby! She performed the song, “ADD SUV,” on Thursday, and like much of Uffie’s spry dance cuts, it revealed an artist who’s willing to poke as much fun at herself as she is at the boys who chase her. Though she repeatedly noted it was “weird” to play in the daytime, Uffie was all smiles at SXSW, and her songs popped with effervescent, club-ready backdrops. Her first performance since the birth of her daughter… she rapped a medley of original tracks with a brand new DJ and fellas that tune is Not produced by The Neptunes, Pharrell is only featured on the tune, thanks to Krystee.

Robin Thicke’s ‘It’s In The Mornin” (Behind The Scenes)

Robin Thicke - It's In The Mornin'
Robin Thicke
and Manuela Arbeláez

Rap-Up.com was on the set as an exhausted Robin Thicke, who flew in from touring with Alicia Keys the night before, settled in at a sprawling Malibu beachfront property, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, to shoot the Gil Green-directed video for It’s In The Mornin’,” the second U.S. single from his Sex Therapy album. Not even chilly weather could cool off Colombian hottie Manuela Arbeláez of “The Price Is Right” fame, who played Thicke’s leading lady. The on-screen couple sexed up the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom, but the lovemaking ceased as soon as the cameras were off.

Robin Thicke - It's In The Mornin' 2
His real life partner, pregnant actress Paula Patton, was not far from her husband’s side. Snoop Dogg, who is featured on the Teddy Riley production, rolled to the set later in the evening to film his scenes in his own custom Cadillac, dubbed the Snoop DeVille, with Playboy Playmate Nicole Narain riding shotgun. For the final setup, the dapperly-dressed collaborators met up in front of a green screen while the waves crashed in the background.

Remember Kin’s (aka Kin4Life) Goodfoot ?

Kin4Life
Remember that Neptunes tune Kin – Goodfoot feat. Pharrell from back in 2007, we asked ourselfes (I Did) who the heck Kin are, well all we knew was that, they’re 2 chicks rapping but I couldn’t find any further information about that duo, well that’s because they’re not called Kin. Their actual name is Kin4Life, an Hip Hop duo with a growing fan base and popularity, IQ and Nor. The two black and lesbian performers formed their group more than 12 years ago and have had to overcome many challenges as they built their empire. Early in their career, they both set out to remain true to themselves and who they are, unafraid to publicly embrace their race and sexuality. Refusing to change their appearance, swagger or identity, they passed up the opportunity to sign with a major record label.

As disappointing as this missed opportunity was, they brushed their shoulders off and masterminded their independent label, Noriq Records, and self-promoted their music. Their effort is slowly paying off. Kin4life has more than 11,500 fans internationally. They have appeared in popular magazines Curve and Out. They have been interviewed by AllHipHop.com, collaborated with recording artist Pharrell, and appeared in PBS’ “In the Life” and the documentary “Black Womyn Conversations.” Their video for “Make Up Girl” was named best video of the year by AfterEllen.com in 2008 and made Logo’s Click List top 10 videos. This duo’s music is meaningful, realistic and sounds great. Their CD is a must buy. It is available on iTunes and myspace.com/kin4life.

Ludacris Lands Fourth No. 1 With ‘Battle Of The Sexes’

Ludacris
There are a few different new albums that impacted the Billboard 200 this week. There’s a new Gorillaz album and another from Jimmy Hendrix, but it’s Ludacris’ Battle of the Sexes that reigns at no. 1. Luda’s new album gave the rapper his fourth no. 1 album on the 200 charts, selling 137,000 copies. It’s the rapper’s follow-up to 2008’s Theater of the Mind, which peaked at no. 5. His previous no. 1 albums include 2006’s Release Therapy, 2004’s The Red Light District, and 2003’s Chicken N Beer. According to Billboard.com, Battle of The Sexes ties Luda for the third-most no. 1s among rap acts. His four ties him with the Beastie Boys, but he trails behind the likes of Tupac, DMX, Eminem, and Nas who have five no. 1s. But, the all-time leader is Jay-Z, with 11. Head over to Amazon.com. to cop Ludacris’ Battle of The Sexes.

Thicke Celebrates Birthday With Jay-Z, Dad’s Favourite Artist, Rollercoasta (Video)

Robin Thicke Jay-z
Beyoncé
and Jay-Z were just two of the celebs to ring in Robin Thicke’s 33rd birthday in New York Wednesday at 1Oak in NYC following his sold-out show with Alicia Keys at Madison Square Garden. The crooner was joined by his dad Alan Thicke and friends including Beyoncé , Jay Z, Reggie Bush, Russell Simmons, music executive Andre Harrell and 1OAK owners Richie Akiva and Scott Sartiano, who toasted the singer as partygoers danced the night away to beats by DJ Sinatra.

The father of R&B crooner Robin Thicke - actor Alan Thicke - says that he is his son’s number one fan. He went on to claim that he didn’t pass on his musical skills to the singer, but he offered something else. Alan Thicke told the talk show Today: “I couldn’t teach him much about music, so I encouraged his hobbies. I’m a TV dad, I thought it was Sax Therapy and I thought this was duets with Kenny G, but no, everybody’s naked in the video. He added: “Robin Thicke is a great artist. Ordinarily when you’re getting your cuddle on, you wouldn’t want to hear your son’s voice. That’s usually the enemy of love. But in this case, it is romantic. It’s not like he’s singing, “Go daddy go!” It’s a mood setter.”

Robin Thicke Jay-z 2
In Idolator’s recent interview with Robin Thicke, the smooth crooner talked about working with freaky Grammy winner Estelle on his Sex Therapy: The Session album. “I was on tour with Estelle while I was opening up for John Legend years ago,” he said. “And Estelle and I are very good friends and that was easy, she’s amazing.” Check out the video for their jam “Rollercoasta” below! That’s a fun clip, but the days of fashion, strobe lights and Robin chasing hot tail around house parties is about to come to an end—at least for a little bit.

He and wife Paula Patton have a baby on the way. When we asked if Robin’s dad Alan offered the singer any advice on being a father, he joked, “’Stop spending all my money!’ Save some money was his advice.”

Boo-Bonic – Mr. Treat Your Noce feat. Pharrell (06′)

Boo-Bonic & The Neptunes
Whoa now… y’all remember this beat ? That beat was made back in 2004 from Fam-Lay’s Traintogo session with Jadakiss on it but it seems like it went to Boo-Bonic’s solo album ‘Young, Rich & Famous’, The Neptunes gave Bonic three tunes, so this is one of the three tunes and possibly his lead single. ‘When we got signed to Atlantic there was the A&R his name was Rich. There was also this guy named Ashton Chambers who runs Ice Cream now, so he used to work for Nike so he had a connect with the Nike stuff so he gave it to Pharrell. I guess Pharrell was trying to sell beats to people at Atlantic at the time.

So he was going over there meeting with Ashton to, so we kind of met “Pharrell” at the place, and Rich was with us, and Rich already knew him, and he was like, “I want you to work with my guys,” and he heard us spit and we spit acapella for like 45 minutes over and over. And after that it was a wrap. What I’m doin’ now is “Young, Rich & Famous” my Solo Project. M.J. got a single with Swizz Beatz and I got a single with Pharrell. We both got all kinds of records with everybody out there, such as Cool & Dre. Pharrell gave me three new beats for my solo project. Clipse x Clashmusic.com Interview

Stepping Out Of The Neptunes’ Shadow

Clipse
For those seeking hip-hop that doesn’t adhere doggedly to a predefined schematic, there is a paucity of artists willing to breach their narrow topic boundaries and surprise the listener through deviation and morale juxtaposition. And then there is Clipse. Two brothers from Virginia Beach, Malice and Pusha T. (AKA Gene and Terrence Thornton) formed Clipse in the early Nineties as the East Coast sought to reaffirm its dominance over hip-hop’s sweaty sojourn in California. “When we first came out, it was all about New York – Virginia wasn’t really known for lyric driven hip-hop,” explains older sibling Malice, ahead of the release of Clipse’s third studio album ‘Till The Casket Drops’. “We couldn’t get near mixtapes that were being made in New York and if they did decide to put us on, they would stick us at the end where no one was checking.

We were treated like the runts of the litter and not allowed at the food. So we decided to stay amongst ourselves. It was just us and The Neptunes.” Breaking through with their first full-fat album ‘Lord Willin’’ in 2001, Clipse were dismissed by many as little more than a vanity project for The Neptunes - looking to give raw street textures to the dystopian rattles and herky-jerk synths that defined their work. However, even a cursory listen to the likes of ‘Grindin’’’ or ‘Cot Damn’ revealed Clipse to be adroit, self-aware and morally ambiguous narrators. Following a frustrating five-year hiatus precipitated by label politics, Clipse finally returned in 2006 with ‘Hell Hath No Fury’, a genuine contender for album of the decade and the point where Pusha T. and Malice began to distort expectations.

Robin Thicke x AndPop Interview

They say that behind every great man is a great woman. The same can be said that behind every great song is a great writer. An example of a great song writer is Robin Thicke. After writing songs for Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Lil’ Wayne, etc., Robin is out to claim his own piece of the pie. And with his song “Sex Therapy” currently #1 on Billboard, he wants a huge piece of that pie.
