Forum member Cylla (who was also featured on The Neptunes.org Mixtape from last year, gets his shine on the new Freddie Gibbs mixtape titled ‘Baby Face Killa’ on the track ‘The Diet’ that features no other than Pharrell, his Idol, I haven’t talked to him for a while but I’m pretty sure he didn’t even know Pharrell is gonna be on his record, anyways Me and the whole theneptunes.org/grindin.org crew are congratulating Cylla aka The Animal aka Frosty-C for his accomplishment (to get one day Pharrell on his own beats), keep up the great work Cylla and that beat is awesome! Everyone has been wondering last year why The Neptunes didn’t make it on Mary J. Blige’s album ‘My Life II … The Journey Continues (Act I)’ since Pharrell talked so much about how wonderful the music is that they did together, well Mary is preparing to release her Part II of the album and she just leaked a new tune which is produced by Pharrell, JD & Bryan-Michael Cox. Mary J. Blige, has remade the Sly & The Family Stone hit “Everyday People,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard songs chart way back in 1968.
Her version sounds like a cross between the ’60s classic and the 1990s remake by Arrested Development, but has all-new lyrics that exemplify the positive messages of self-motivation and personal empowerment that Mary’s been known for in recent years. This tune will probably appear on her next album, ‘The Journey Continues (Act II)’ , which could come our way in late 2012 or early 2013. You can check out below the new version as well as the old version.

Manami will finally release her debut album ‘Fanfare’ this summer on July 4th. The Star Bape Search winner announced this morning on her Official Site that she finally is ready to release the debut album titled ‘Fanfare’ with old and new songs. The 25-year-old Manami Nakamura has been recording for the debut album since she won the Star Bape Search Competition back in August of 2008. She outlasted a field of 1,700 hopefuls to win the Star Bape Search, an audition held by Pharrell Williams and Nigo.

The idea was to select an artist who can be a successful DIVA in Japan, Asia, and the world. The selected artist will debut from (B)APE SOUNDS®. Her debut song was an R&B love song titled “Back Of My Mind,” followed by ‘Hold Back’ both produced by The Neptunes and was released through iTunes in 23 countries. Born in Okinawa, Manami has been living in Tokyo since the age of 4. She attended dance classes but decided to take up voice training at 19, aiming to become a professional singer. There is no information that there will be new Neptunes Tracks on her debut, nonetheless i’m looking forward to her album. You can check out the Japanese Versions (My Favourites) of her Neptunes Tracks below.
This is from the ‘Nothing’ Era from 2010, I don’t really remember posting this, pretty nice performances though, check out the tracklist below, thanks to hayabusa.
