By Elizabeth Lancaster. ‘Aokify America’ brings Pharrell, Waka Flocka and Borgore across the country. Steve Aoki is notorious for throwing some of the wildest parties in the world. His crowds are always guaranteed a bubbly champagne shower. His fans beg with signs and T-shirts to be one of the lucky ones to be hit with a cake from stage. If that’s not enough, he always brings rafts and blow-up toys to crowd-surf with, not to mention a killer DJ set.The only way these parties could possibly get rowdier? This fall, Aoki is adding Waka Flocka Flame, Pharrell Williams and Borgore into the mix for a tour he is calling Aokify America.

The tour kicked off last Friday in Chicago and will make stops all across the country. MTV News caught up with the EDM trendsetter at TomorrowWorld to get to the bottom of how this eclectic group came together. “It was a lot of planning,” Aoki told us. “I wanted to do a really diverse roster. Borgore brings on a whole different audience, and Waka Flocka, watching his YouTube videos I knew he was the right fit. “It’s a really good crop, and Pharrell is such a great addition because he adds another element to the whole lineup.” Aoki is no stranger to bus tours — or hip-hop artists.

Last year, he teamed up with Kendrick Lamar for a similar bus tour, and his upcoming Neon Future album features the likes of Snoop and Machine Gun Kelly. According to Aoki, this tour will be on a whole new level for him. “New production, new songs, new props,” he promised. “I want this show to be about losing yourself, raging and having fun.
