By Patrick Montes. Christian Rich have formally announced their debut album and coupled that announcement with a new single. Their first official LP will be entitled FW14, and will serve as the brother-duo’s first multi-track offering since last year’s SS14 EP. FW14 will feature collaborations with artists such as Goldlink, JMSN, Jay Sean, Steve Arrington, Sinead Harnett and more, as well as the previously released, Vince Staples-assisted single “High.”
Christian Rich’s concept for FW14 is said to have been inspired by their collective “fascination with the future, time travel and the worlds outside our galaxy.” The work of author Phillip K. Dick and the film Interstellar are singled out as standout, significant influences on the theme of FW14. Today’s drop is the single “Fast Life,” and finds the Pharrell-mentored pair of producers uniting with ever-rising singer-songwriter JMSN. It’s the second single released in support of the project, though “High” originally stood as our first taste of Christian Rich’s debut full-length. You can stream “Fast Life” below. FW14 will arrive on August 21, and you can pre-order it on iTunes now.
