A new half-hour, single-camera comedy series called “Rollin‘” is in development under the partnership between Lena Waithe’s Hillman Grad Productions and Pharrell Williams’ i am OTHER for HBO Max. The show is currently in the script development stage and will be produced under Hillman Grad’s overall deal with Warner Bros. Television Group. The series follows a group of skaters and their easily influenced newcomer teammate who discover camaraderie and redemption on the hardwood at an Atlanta skating rink, known for its music, food, and incredible stunts. Despite the challenges that come with leaving the past behind, the skaters learn that persistence is the key to success.

The show’s script will be written and executive produced by Calaya Michelle Stallworth, with Waithe and Hillman Grad CEO Rishi Rajani also serving as executive producers, alongside Naomi Funabashi, the company’s president of film and TV. i am OTHER, represented by Pharrell Williams and Mimi Valdés, will also be executive producing the series, with Shani Saxon serving as co-executive producer. The day-to-day activities of the series will be overseen by Hillman Grad executives Rocio Melara, VP of Film and TV, and Sylvia Carrasco, working under Funabashi’s leadership.
