Since Kelly Rowland dropped her ‘Talk A Good Game‘ album in 2013, and seeing her Live Performance on GMA, I always wanted to Re-Do the drums on one of her Pharrell collaborations ‘Street Life‘, because the drums didn’t really ‘hit you in the back’, I finally had the time.

Close to a year after the release of her album, “Talk A Good Game,” Kelly Rowland is in the studio working on her follow-up LP. “I’m at the very very beginning stages of the record. We’re at the point now where we are all talking – writers [and] producers – we’re all excited. There are fresh ideas coming into the studio right now. We’re trying different beats,” Kelly Rowland told Billboard. “It’s a really great start.”
The singer-songwriter is recruiting close friends and new talent for her fifth solo studio album. “Pharrell [Williams] is on board. We already talked about it. I’d love for Timbaland to be on board. We’ve had discussions as well,” she continued to share. “I want to try to some new talent as well. There’s so much new talent… There’s somebody out there with something new to give and I’d love to tap into that as well.”
Rowland recently revealed to HuffPost Live that she’s parted ways with Universal Republic for a “fresh new start.” “I need something new and I’ve earned the right to make my own choices and make my own decisions,” she said. “I wish them well. They wish me well. No hard feelings, I just needed a fresh new start.”

Pharrell At The Oscar/Happy Dinner
Are you ready for the Oscar Nite yet, I can’t wait to watch it. “Lots to celebrate these days like an Oscar nomination and performance on Sunday, Happy reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and G I R L coming out next week. The dinner took place at Eveleigh and a few of Pharrell’s friends showed up to enjoy a great night”
How long did we have to wait for such a classic Neptune Vibe tune like this one, it’s not about the beat right here, it’s just about the vibe and the feeling, one of the best Neptunes Tracks this year so far. It’s a pity that this tune is only a Deluxe Bonus cut, It should’ve been on the album, check it out below. Make sure to get the album ‘Talk A Good Game’ on iTunes.

If you listen closely to social commentating, Pharrell-helmed record you’ll hear a rawness to Kelly’s vocals you weren’t expecting. That’s because she was sick as a dog when she laid it down. Most of us couldn’t hope to sound that great in the shower much less completely congested. Kelly says it was Pharrell’s reasoning inspired her to leave the grittier vocals on the master, while Pharrell insists it was all Kelly calling the shots while he worked around her greatness. “When you hear her voice and potential, there are so many different interesting elements to work with that I said to myself, ‘Man, we need to do a social commentary record that is still a jam.’”
12 – Stand In Front Of Me
Pharrell said he was going for the doo-wop style of the 1950’s and ’70s black ghettos when he composed the record. “When [Kelly] did it, we were all blown away by just the feeling of it.” Kelly adores the song for that feel as well along with the “take-charge, men” message of the tune. “Maybe it’s a Southern trait, but I just believe men should remember they should be men and be chivalrous,” Kelly said. I’m sure there will be plenty of men lining up to heed that advice if the reward is getting to “palm that ass.” Yes, ma’am!
Amazing performance by both of them, Kelly & Pusha.
