By Rob Markman. Rapper tells ‘RapFix Live‘ that his next LP is ‘taking a new shape’… one that calls for a new name. T.I. has a brand-new record deal and brand-new ideas for his ninth solo LP. Originally Tip had planned to drop Trouble Man II: He Who Wears The Crown, a follow-up to his 2012 LP, but since getting into the studio with the album’s executive producer, Pharrell Williams, he’s had a change of heart. “Since we started working on the project and the project started has taken a different shape, I think we’re going to postpone that title,” T.I. said when he appeared on “RapFix Live.” “We’re gonna rework that. I got a couple of things in mind.” Since 2003 T.I. has been releasing top-selling albums through Atlantic Records. His sophomore LP Trap Muzik was the first with the label and has dropped unforgettable projects like Urban Legend and 2006’s #1 Billboard release, King.
After releasing Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head in December 2012, T.I. became a free agent and announced that he would release his next album through Columbia Records. “All I’ma say is, it’s gonna be a motion picture, it’s gonna be a theatrical-worthy title. Something that will definitely seem instant classic,” he said in a very assuring tone. “I’m thinking something like Trap Champion, Paperwork, but whatever it is the subtitle will be The Motion Picture.” T.I. hasn’t scrapped Trouble Man II altogether, he’s just ready to move in a different direction. “I still have that album, that album isn’t lost, I have that project as well. But the music that we began to create– Pharrell, myself–so many others that have contributed between the time of then and now that the project is just taking a new shape,” he said.
Very interesting points you have noted, appreciate it for putting up. “Great is the art of beginning, but greater is the art of ending.” by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
