With his multiple wins, a performance with Daft Punk and Stevie Wonder — and, of course, his much-talked-about hat — Pharrell Williams was perhaps the most visible presence at last month’s Grammy Awards. But will the music-world superstar make a similar splash at the Oscars? Williams is nominated for his first Academy Award, for original song, with “Happy,” his aptly titled soul-funk jam from “Despicable Me 2.”

Pharrell also talked about his upcoming Solo album where he revealed that there won’t be any balads on the album. “the criteria was, that like I wanted to feel festive and salvatore and I wanted it to also feel urgent, no songs would make it on the record if it didnt felt that way, if they didnt accomplished that and i felt like the closest ive ever come to do that in my life feels like one of my most important work I’ve ever done, I’m honoured to be in this place to feelin this.” Pharrell also revealed that N*E*R*D is working on a Animation Project, check out the whole Interview above.
