In a recent interview, Michigan-based singer and producer Mike Posner revealed that he’s been spending his time in the studio with artists such as Justin Bieber, Pharrell Williams, J. Cole, and Big Sean. The ‘Cooler Than Me’ singer says that he helped Beebs workout his upcoming single ‘Boyfriend’ and indicated that the track will have more of a hip hop sound than the Canadian star’s previous work.

According to Mike Posner, Bieber’s fans will get a chance to hear something different when the singer drops his new single as the teen sensation is looking to prove his rapping chops with a few bars of rhymes. “I have Bieber’s new single, I wrote and produced that with him. And wait ’til you hear the beat, you’ll flip. You’ll want to play this song, it’s super hip hop. He raps like a little eight bars, and then starts singing crazy right after it, and it sounds amazing. That was our whole goal was making something that was hater proof,” Posner told Bootleg Kev in an interview on Hot 97.5.

Posner is also gearing up for the release of his sophomore offering ‘Sky High’ which is due to drop soon and revealed that the album could include a number of tracks supported by Pharrell Williams. “The new music is super incredible. Like the people I’ve been playing it for are just like flipping out. Pharrell’s on the album. I did nine joints with Pharrell,” said Posner, thanks to nerd0016.
