Here is another treasure that was just been waiting to be found! Remember ‘Magnum The Verb Lord’, that’s one of the aliases Pharrell was using back in the New Jack Swing days when The Neptunes hooked up with Teddy Riley in 1992, well Mary J Blige released her ‘What’s The 411’ album in 1992 and a year later she released the Remix album where Teddy Riley remixed her tune ‘Changes I’ve Been Going Through’ with his New Jack Swing style including a Background Rap from young Pharrell aka Magnum The Verb Lord which can be heard at 3:20 on the song. A huge thanks to Madrakke for the find and check out the tune below!
Here we go again, that feeling when you’re getting a new Neptunes track, and you play it, and it’s the best thing you’ve heard in a while, this gets me in that Kelly Rowland Duet mood from last years ‘Feet To The Fire‘, I love this tune so much, so beautiful, peep it below.

Was Montana really that long ago? Miley Cyrus talked to Cosmopolitan about her upcoming album that she calls her biggest to date. While we don’t doubt that the Disney princess isn’t going to sell like gangbusters; the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus enlisted some Hip-Hop help for her new album. “I wrote this song with Mary J. Blige, and Tyler, The Creator heard it and said, ‘I am obsessed with this song, and I will guest on it if you promise me that you will keep it on the album.’ And he killed it! I really didn’t want to make a hip-hop record, and I’m not trying at all to be a Rihanna or a Nicki [Minaj]….
That’s not my vibe,” she said. “When I was growing up, my older brother would sneak me Nelly CDs, my dad had me listening to Dolly [Parton] and Johnny [Cash], and my mom is a complete metal head. So this record is a weird mixture of all that.” Although she also gets help from Pharrell, she refuses to call her project a full-on Hip-Hop project. She also goes on to say she draws inspiration from Tyler’s Odd Future group mate. “Frank Ocean‘s record is so good. And I like that he came out and admitted he was gay, because that still affects people’s careers,” Cyrus tells Cosmo. “If you don’t think it does, it f—ing does, and he did not care,” she said. “I think it’s going to make him even bigger.”
Everyone has been wondering last year why The Neptunes didn’t make it on Mary J. Blige’s album ‘My Life II … The Journey Continues (Act I)’ since Pharrell talked so much about how wonderful the music is that they did together, well Mary is preparing to release her Part II of the album and she just leaked a new tune which is produced by Pharrell, JD & Bryan-Michael Cox. Mary J. Blige, has remade the Sly & The Family Stone hit “Everyday People,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard songs chart way back in 1968.
Her version sounds like a cross between the ’60s classic and the 1990s remake by Arrested Development, but has all-new lyrics that exemplify the positive messages of self-motivation and personal empowerment that Mary’s been known for in recent years. This tune will probably appear on her next album, ‘The Journey Continues (Act II)’ , which could come our way in late 2012 or early 2013. You can check out below the new version as well as the old version.

By Danielle Harling. Pharrell Williams speaks on the various artists he’s working with, but remains relatively silent on his work with Jay-Z. While producer/rapper Pharrell Williams may be at work with fellow artist Jay-Z the specifics remain scarce because when asked by Rap-Up.com if he’s working on anything with Jay-Z, Pharrell simply revealed that he’s “sworn to secrecy.” Although Pharrell remained tight-lipped while speaking on his work with Jay-Z he did speak a little more in-depth on the other artists he’s working with including i am OTHER artist Leah LaBelle.
“She’s incredible. Like we couldn’t believe it. And when we chased it down and finally talked it was like cool. And she sings her ass off,” said Pharrell. Pharrell then went on to rattle off the names of artists he’s been working with this year. He also revealed that he’s working a lot more with fellow The Neptunes partner Chad Hugo. “Well the new Leah album, Leah LaBelle. New Mac Miller, Pink Slime. Chad and I have been doing a whole lot of work together,” Pharrell explained. “New Miguel, new Jay, new Usher, new Scissor Sisters. Mary song’s crazy too. Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross.” Thanks to nerd0016.
